The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to engage with the organisers of a planned nationwide protest over the country’s economic challenges.

In a statement on Monday, NLC President Joe Ajaero said the government should not dismiss the planned demonstrations as “sponsored political dissent”, noting that Nigerians have “legitimate grounds” to protest.
