ECOWAS Ministers of Energy and Hydrocarbons are advocating for the adoption of essential agreements to propel the $26 billion African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) forward. At a recent meeting, ministers proposed that the ECOWAS Council of Ministers and the President of the ECOWAS Commission aim for formal signing of the Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) and Host State Agreement (HGA) between the December ECOWAS Summit and early 2025.
