Nigerian government has begun the disbursement of a 551 Thousand USD grant for Women Affinity Groups in three pilot Local Government Areas in Niger state, North Central Nigeria.
The grant, co-funded with the World Bank, under the Nigeria for Women Project, is targeted at improving the socio economic status of women by way of creating wealth for economic prosperity.
Correspondent Fatimah Ibrahim reports that these women are grouped into affinity groups of 25 persons and taught how to save monies to improve their respective businesses.
