The Nigerian government has officially sanctioned the use of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine under the auspices of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) confirmed the receipt of approximately six million doses for the upcoming deployment of the vaccination program, targeted towards girls aged nine to 14 years.
The rollout is scheduled to commence on October 24, 2023.
