The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has officially opened its 32nd Annual Meetings in Abuja, Nigeria, under the theme “Building the Future on Decades of Resilience.”
Welcoming delegates on Wednesday, Denys Denya, the bank’s Senior Executive Vice-President, emphasized the urgent need to reinforce African institutions amid growing global uncertainty. He underscored that strong, independent institutions, rooted in good governance and regional collaboration, are key to unlocking the continent’s potential.
Denya further stressed that Africa’s sustainable economic growth hinges on sound macroeconomic management, accelerated structural reforms, and strategic investments in infrastructure and human capital. The forum, which brings together policymakers, economists, and financial experts, is expected to produce actionable insights to strengthen the continent’s economic resilience.
