In Niger, President Mohamed Bazoum has received the 2020 general Public Report of the Court of Auditors.
Professor Naré Oumarou – President of the court during the presentation Thursday said, the body was unable to make recommendations this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He however stated that the report contained observations in relation to a certain number of entities in relation to State expenditure.
The report will be made public at a press conference during which the Court will outline the various results of the control it had to carry out the previous year.
The Court of Auditors is the highest public finance control authority which judges the accounts of the State, public establishments and enterprises, independent administrative authorities and anybody benefiting from any form of financial support from the government.
Meanwhile, President Bazoum same Thursday, chaired the first meeting of the Council of Ministers of his government composed of 33 members.
