Nigerien authorities have ordered the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to leave the country.

The decision, made on January 31, was only communicated to the organization on Tuesday.

The government has not provided reasons for the expulsion, leaving uncertainty over the future of humanitarian operations.
