As Nigeria marks the 2023 International Day Against Drug Abuse, a group has called for an alternative to incarceration of those involved in drugs and other behavioural addictions.
At an event in Lagos, South Western Nigeria, officials of the group are proposing an initiative named “SMART Recovery Programme” as an evidence-based approach that focuses on the general well-being of such addicts.
