Burkina Faso coup leaders say fight against terrorism is priority for new regime

The new strongman of Burkina Faso Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba who took power after a Coup earlier this week says consultations are ongoing to decide on the best form of transition.

In an address to the nation on Thursday night, the head of the military junta promised that there will be no witch hunts while warning against any attempt to destabilize the new regime.

According to Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba, the fight against terrorism will be the main challenge and he would put all the means at the disposal of the army to win the war.
