Liberia: EU envoy apologizes over unflattering remarks about Monrovia

Laurent Delahousse

The European Union Representative in Liberia has apologized for making unflattering remarks about the Liberian capital.

During a speech at an event organized by the Monrovia City Corporation last week, Laurent Delahousse described the Liberian capital as "dirty and very disgusting", due to the proliferation of garbage throughout the capital.
