Nigeria declares oil theft ‘national emergency’; says 400,000 barrels stolen daily

The Nigeria Government has declared the upsurge of crude oil theft a national emergency.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, during a courtesy visit to the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa revealed that about 400,000 barrels of crude are stolen daily.
