Action Aid Sierra Leone and Budget Advocacy Network have launched the Public Austerity Report on the country's wage bill for the health and education sectors from 2016-2021.
The report indicates that teachers and health workers constitute about 61 percent of the workforce, but their take home salaries are just between 30-36 percent of the total wage bill.
This has made service delivery in those sectors inefficient.
