The Governor of the Burkina Faso Eastern region Lieutenant-Colonel Saïdou Sanou has confirmed an attack on the village of kodyel that left more than ten civilians dead.

The Governor in a communique said, “many more were wounded and several concessions and granaries burned down in the attack that took place on Monday.

Kodyèl is a locality located in the province of Komondjari, commune of Foutouri, in the eastern region.
