The Permanent Secretariat of the National Arms Control Commission (CNCA) has released a concerning report on improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
According to the report, there have been over 550 security incidents caused by IEDs in the region, resulting in the tragic loss of over 1,000 victims, including 544 fatalities and 547 injuries.
The report highlights the serious threat that IEDs pose to both civilian and military populations in Burkina Faso.
