The Supreme Court in Bamako has indefinitely postponed the trial of Bouaré Fily Sissoko, a former Minister of Economy and Finance.

Sissoko, who has been detained for over three years, faces charges of corruption and mismanagement of public funds related to the procurement of a presidential aircraft and military equipment worth an estimated 130 billion CFA Francs.

On November 13, the court also denied her latest request for provisional release, further prolonging her time in detention.
