The Malian Prime Minister Colonel Abdoulaye Maïga says the Junta does not respect and will not apply sanctions imposed by the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, on neighbouring Guinea in the wake of last year's coup.
ECOWAS leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, decided on a series of sanctions targeting certain Guinean officials. This decision took place in New York on Thursday, September 22.
