Malian press unions are rallying behind detained journalist Alfousseyni Togo.

Togo was arrested after publishing an article critical of the justice minister and cybercrime unit.

Charged with defamation and disturbing public order, he’s set to face trial on June 12.

The Press House says talks are underway to calm tensions and ensure his release.
