The military authorities in Mali revealed they uncovered a mass grave in Kidal, the former stronghold of armed independence groups.

This revelation follows closely on the heels of the Malian armed forces gaining control of the town. The military hierarchy emphasized that this mass grave serves as a stark reminder of the atrocities perpetrated by terrorists.

Authorities said they have initiated investigations to ensure that those responsible for these heinous acts are brought to justice.
