In Liberia, opposition leaders have rallied behind the Supreme Court’s ruling that upheld Fonati Koffa’s position as legitimate Speaker of the House.
Parties including the Congress for Democratic Change, Alternative National Congress, All-Liberian Party, and the Movement for Economic Empowerment held an emergency meeting in Monrovia to address the unfolding political crisis.
The move comes after President Joseph Boakai’s controversial decision to disregard the court’s ruling, sparking widespread concern among opposition figures.
Opposition leaders emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and protecting Liberia’s democratic institutions.
