Liberian President George Weah has condemned the violent protest that occurred on July 26 between a group calling itself Coalition for Democratic Change—Council of Patriots and the campus-based vanguard Student Unification Party.

The protest led to the injuries of several individuals, some of whom are said to be in critical condition.

While addressing the nation Monday evening, the Liberian leader said the maintenance of peace and stability in Liberia rests on the shoulders of all Liberians—hence the need to arrest and prosecute those behind the violent protest.
