Tension is said to be boiling over in Liberia as a major opposition lawmaker has announced the formation of a militia group to protect opposition leaders and their supporters.

The pronouncement was made by Montserrado County District Ten lawmaker Yekeh Kolubal, a former rebel fighter, now a fierce critic of President George Weah.
