Liberia’s ruling Unity Party Alliance has reaffirmed its support for President Joseph Boakai amid growing political tensions.

In a statement, the coalition expressed concern over opposition threats and the fallout from a recent Supreme Court ruling.

The ruling, tied to a legislative impasse in the House of Representatives, aimed to clarify earlier judicial decisions but has instead deepened divisions.

The Unity Party Alliance called for calm and pledged continued backing for President Boakai’s leadership.
