Police authorities in Nigeria's North Central State of Plateau have rearrested nine inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Jos, capital of the State.
This followed the attack on the correction facility in the state capital by a yet-to-be-identified group of gunmen on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, eight of the escapee inmates we're said to have been shot dead by the security forces as they joined the assailants to attack the facility.
