The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), in partnership with Afripol, has concluded a major operation targeting cybercrime, leading to the arrest of over 1,000 criminals across 19 countries, including several in West Africa.
This operation, which took place between September 2 and October 31, involved coordinated efforts by police forces across the continent. It represents a significant step in combating cyber-related crimes, including fraud, online scams, and identity theft.
Authorities emphasized the importance of international collaboration to ensure the effectiveness of such large-scale campaigns.
