Authorities on Thursday halted search efforts a day after a school building collapsed in Lagos with an unknown number of children inside.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said that workers have reached the foundation of the collapsed three-story building and don't expect to see any further bodies.

The Lagos State coordinator of the agency, Idris Abubakar Mohamed, said about nine people were killed and thirty seven rescued from the site of the collapsed building.
