Cameroon: 79 students abducted near Bamenda

    Cameroon’s Information Minister says military efforts are underway to search and rescue at least 79 students kidnapped in the restive northwest region.

    The students of a Presbyterian school in Nkwen, a village near Bamenda, the capital of the troubled English-speaking region, were kidnapped early on Monday.

    Speaking to WADR on the line from the capital, Yaounde, Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary says his government will leave no stone unturned to find the kidnapped students.
