Senior opposition figures in Guinea announced going on hunger strike aimed at shaming the government into resolving the crises rocking the country’s education system.

The opposition leaders on Wednesday began their abstinence from food in a bid to prompt the government into finding a definitive solution for the protracted teachers’ strike in the country.

One of the striking opposition leaders, Dr. Fayah Millimono spoke to WADR about the impact they hope their action will make on the situation.
