Human rights group, Amnesty International says the political situation in Guinea marred by public protests is taking a turn for the worst.

According to the organization, at least 18 people have died in political violence since the beginning of 2018, three of which were killed by gun shots appearing to be from the security forces.

The human rights group has called on the authorities to take measures to protect the right to peaceful assembly and ensure that no other person should lose their lives during street protests.
