Liberia: Civil society movement wants probe of ‘missing billions’ led by foreign investigators

Liberia’s Concerned Citizens United to Bring Back Our Money has questioned the independence of the committee set up by President George Weah to investigate the reported disappearance of 16 billion Liberian dollars in printed bank notes.
The civil society group set up in the aftermath of the disappearance of the money says the committee lacks independence and such, the investigation should be led by foreign investigators.
The spokesperson of the group, Martin Kollie, spoke to WADR on the line from Monrovia.
