  • 10 September 2019

Ghana is set to embark on an emergency polio vaccination in its Greater Accra and northern regions after a child got paralysed due to the disease.

Polio is a highly infectious illness that spreads typically through contact with infected feces. In areas with poor sanitation, the virus easily spreads from feces into water supply, or, by touch, into food.
