African Union: Ghana selected as host of ACFTA Secretariat

    Ghana has been selected to host the secretariat of the newly formed African Continental Free Trade Agreement.

    The decision to make Ghana the host of the ACFTA Secretariat was made at the just-ended African Union Summit in Niamey, Niger.
    The African Continental Free Trade Agreement aims to create a 3.4 trillion dollar economic bloc that could usher in a new era of development.
    Nigerien President Mahamadou Issoufou announced the selection of Ghana and other decisions taken at the summit.
