Ahead of World AIDS Day, UNAIDS launched its 2024 report, Take the Rights Path to End AIDS, shedding light on factors like conflicts, poverty, extreme weather, and rights violations driving HIV infections.

Speaking at the launch, Deputy Executive Director Angeli Achrekar emphasized the staggering loss of over 42 million lives to AIDS and urged global leaders to recommit to ending the epidemic by 2030. The report outlines both progress and persistent challenges in the fight against HIV/AIDS worldwide.
