Authorities in Nigeria said gunmen killed at least five soldiers and a civilian in the southeastern state of Anambra on Thursday.  This is the latest bloodshed in a region where separatist tensions often flare.

The governor of the state Charles Soludo condemned Wednesday's attack on troops in Umunze area.
