The head of the Junta ruling Guinea, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya’s efforts to clean up the country’s military, has been eliciting reactions across the country.

More than a thousand soldiers have been sent into retirement since Monday. According to the head of the junta, these are personnel that have completed their service years.
