Guinea’s government has suspended the RPG Arc en Ciel and UFR parties for three months following a political evaluation report released Friday.

Authorities cite their failure to provide banking records or hold a congress in late 2024. Meanwhile, the opposition UFDG must organize a congress within two months to continue operations.

The UFDG condemns the move as an attempt to weaken the political opposition.

The suspensions have sparked debates over political fairness and democracy in Guinea.
