The Court of Repression of Economic and Financial Offences in Guinea on Tuesday ordered a review of the state of health of the former Prime Minister under the Alpha Condé regime.

The decision followed his inability to show up at the court as earlier scheduled.

Dr Ibrahim Kassory Fofana has been detained for 2 years for alleged misappropriation of public funds, illicit enrichment and money laundering.

His lawyers continue to demand that he be transferred to a hospital abroad for appropriate treatment.
