A Guinean court has postponed its final verdict in the trial of former Education Minister Ibrahima Kourouma and ex-director Mohamed Sankhon.
The two are being prosecuted for alleged financial misconduct during the presidency of Alpha Condé. Their verdict, initially expected on April 16, has now been rescheduled for May 7.
The case is being handled by the Court for the Repression of Economic and Financial Offenses (CRIEF), which is tasked with addressing high-level corruption.
Observers say the delay has fueled public anticipation around the outcome of one of Guinea’s most high-profile corruption cases.
