Civil society groups in Guinea are reacting to the victory speech of President-elect Mamady Doumbouya, following his call for national unity.
On Sunday, December 4, 2025, Guinea’s Supreme Court officially confirmed Doumbouya’s victory in the December 28 presidential election.
The President-elect has invited civil society and political leaders to collaborate in building a new Guinea.
However, opposition parties and civil society organisations say dialogue must be preceded by clear preconditions before meaningful engagement can take place.
