Twelve hours after Guinea Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embalo dissolved the country’s parliament and called for parliamentary elections by the end of the year, many have expressed reservations about the decision.
On Monday, in an address to the nation, the president cited persistent and unresolvable differences with the legislative body. He called for early parliamentary elections in December.
However, speaking to WADR, international relations expert, Michael Nketsia says the decision is politically motivated.
