Former Ivorian Prime Minister Guillaume Soro has strongly condemned his removal from Côte d’Ivoire’s electoral roll, calling it a sign of democratic decline ahead of the October presidential election.
Soro, also a former Speaker of Parliament, expressed concern over rising political tensions and what he described as efforts to sideline opposition voices.
He urged his supporters and fellow opposition members to unite in resisting political exclusion and defending democratic values.
His statement adds to growing criticism from disqualified candidates challenging the transparency of the electoral process.
