In Ghana, after nearly 24 hours of a highly contested election the governing New Patriotic Party, the NPP has finally elected its new national executives.
Saturday’s vote which ended in the wee hours of Sunday, involved over involving over 6000 delegates and 45 aspirants at the Accra sports stadium.
Arguably the biggest loss of the night was that of the incumbent General Secretary, John Boadu who lost his position to Justin Frimpong Koduah.
Stephen Ntim won the chairmanship position National Chairman on his fifth attempt.
Other winners include Vice Chairman Danquah Smith Buttey, National organizer, Henry Nana Boakye and Womens organizer, Kate Gyamfua.
