Ghana’s Parliament is set to resume from recess on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
This was contained in a summons issued by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, on Monday, September 30, 2024. The upcoming parliamentary meeting will be held at The Dome, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) due to the ongoing renovation works at the Chamber of the House.
According to the release, the Speaker is exercising his authority to reconvene the House under Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
The renovation project will include significant upgrades to the Chamber’s infrastructure, such as improvements to the working tables, chairs, and other furnishings that are critical to the legislative body’s daily operations.
