Ghana’s Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine has dismissed calls for President Mahama to halt proceedings on petitions seeking the Chief Justice’s removal.
This comes as the Supreme Court adjourned a case challenging the process involving the President and the Council of State.
Dr. Ayine insists the petitions must be allowed to follow due process despite growing political backlash.
Meanwhile, the minority in parliament argues the move undermines the judiciary and threatens democratic stability.
