Ghana’s Electoral Commission Chair, Jean Mensa, has declared the 2024 election the most successful in the country’s Fourth Republic.
Speaking at a press conference, she cited local and international observers’ positive assessments as proof of the election’s credibility.
The EC has launched an internal evaluation process at district and regional levels to identify areas for improvement.
The December 2024 polls saw the re-election of President John Mahama after eight years in opposition.
