In Ghana, President Nana Akufo-Addo, says third term mandates in every ECOWAS member state must be outlawed and replaced with a two-term limit.
According to the head of state who doubles as the ECOWAS Chair, a two-term limit will ensure that coup d’etats are prevented and Africa’s democracy is safeguarded.
The president spoke in his personal capacity, during his presidential tour of the Ashanti region.
