Ghana’s parliament is this week expected to consider a new controversial tax law which has caused sharp division among politicians of the ruling New Patriotic Party and its opponent, the National Democratic Congress. 

The electronic transaction levy has caused fights in the legislature with attempts at consultation between the two parties over the bill failing.
