In Ghana, commuters who rely on public transport are in for a treat, as the government has announced a 10% reduction in fares starting today, Wednesday.
This comes as a result of the consistent marginal reductions observed in fuel prices.
According to reports, the second pricing window of May 2023 has witnessed a slight decline in petroleum product prices, owing to the reduction in crude prices on the international market and the relative stability of the Ghanaian cedi.
As Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson reports, commercial transport operators are advised to comply with the new fares and post them prominently at their loading terminals.
