Ghana's roads and highways minister, Kwasi Amoako-Atta, has announced government’s plans to embark on road construction projects and eliminate shoddy road contractors from the industry. 

He said this while speaking to journalists on the state of roads, which have been subject to criticism not only by the public, but road contractors across the country.
