Tensions are heightened in parts of Ghana’s Upper East region after the government imposed a curfew on the Bawku Municipality and its environs effective yesterday, Wednesday 24 November 2021. The curfew is in response to sporadic gun shots in Bawku on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry for the Interior and signed by the Minister, Ambrose Dery, the curfew will begin from 4 pm till 6 am.
