As part of its commitments under the Paris Agreement, Switzerland will offset part of its CO2 emissions through projects in Ghana.
After the agreement signed with Peru in October, this is the second such agreement.
Under the Paris Agreement, Switzerland has committed itself to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.
